A 50-year-old man was stabbed in front of his son in Wordsworth Road, Luton, on Monday (November 5).
The man saw two men speaking to his 27-year-old son aggresively while he was sat in his car at about 7.30pm.
He got out of his car to help his son and was then stabbed in his buttock, leg, and under his arm.
He was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where he received treatment for the stab wounds and bruises.
Det Con Francis said: “Luckily the victim did not receive any life threatening injuries and has now returned home to recover. I urge anyone who saw this incident or can help identify the two men responsible to contact the police. I reassure them that they can do this completely anonymously, and any information given will be used in confidence.”
The first offender is described as a black man, 5ft 11, around 25 years old with a slim build.
The second is also black or possibly Asian with a lighter complexion, 5f 8, around 25 and well built. He wa wearing a light-coloured jacket and light grey jogging bottoms.
