A 12-year-old boy was robbed of his mobile phone by two teenagers as he listened to music last week.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening (July 31) at around 9pm when the boy was walking along Ash Road listening to music on his headphones.
He was approached by two other teenagers who asked to see what the victim was using to play music. He refused and the offenders grabbed the victim causing him to fall to the ground dropping his black Samsung mobile.
The offenders picked up the mobile and ran from the scene. They were last seen in Maple Road.
The first offender is described as a boy with an Asian appearance, around 13 years old with a slim build. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
The second offender is also described as a boy with an Asian appearance, also around 13 years old with a stocky build. He was wearing a blue and white jacket and a baseball cap.
Det Con Mandy Godfree said: “The victim is only twelve years old and quite shaken by what has happened to him. This is a residential area which is quite busy day and night. Due to the time of year it would have been daylight at the time of the offence and therefore people may have been out and about. I would appeal directly to anyone who may be able to help identify those responsible for this crime, or anyone who may have seen two teenagers in the area matching the descriptions given, to come forward and assist with this investigation.”
Anyone with information relating to this incident should call Beds Police on the non-emergency number 101, send a text message to 07786 200011 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
