BOLLYWOOD came to the streets of Hockwell Ring last week as youngsters kitted out in colourful costumes took to the streets for a school carnival.
Pupils and staff from Pirton Hill Primary School in Butely Road brought the surrounding streets to a standstill last Wednesday afternoon as they paraded with a vibrant mix of colour, noise and dancing
The carnival was followed by a hugely successful celebration on the school grounds, where authentic Indian cuisine was served and a wide variety of entertainment was provided, ranging from a Bollywood fashion show to dance tuition and henna and craft stalls.
The school worked closely with the Bollywood Company, K Spark, who provided the staff and children with a wealth of knowledge and experiences in preparation for the event.
