FOUR men arrested by counter terror police in a series of raids in Luton last week have been charged with terrorism offences.
Zahid Iqbal, 30, of Bishopscote Road, Mohammed Sharfarez Ahmed, 24, of Maidenhall Road, Syed Hussain, 21, of Cornel Close, and Umar Arshad, 23, of Crawley Road will all appear at Westminster Magistrates Court this afternoon.
The four have been jointly charged with the “intention of committing acts of terrorism or assisting others to commit such acts and being engaged in conduct in preparation for giving effect to that intention”.
A 35-year-old man, arrested at an address in Shaftesbury Road has been released without charge.
