A LETCHWORTH-BASED charity is helping Luton patients with multiple sclerosis.
Herts Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre’s new mobile physio unit visits Chaul End Centre on Thursdays and Lewsey Sports Park on Saturdays.
Various grants enabled the scheme to get off the ground and it’s hoped to extend the service to Lea Manor Recreation Centre and Stockwood Park soon.
A team of fully qualified physiotherapists and physio assistants, one of whom is also the driver, is now available to give local communities accessible healthcare at affordable prices.
The mix of male and female physios speak several languages.
The unit has a purpose-built wheelchair lift and ceiling hoist as well as parallel bars and a standing frame.
