AN electrical fault is thought to have been to blame for a fire in a fifth floor flat in Luton.
Crews from Luton, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Stopsley and Bedford fire stations were called to Regency Place in Chapel Street at 10.30am yesterday (April 24) and were at the scene for an hour.
A spokesman for the brigade said “full high rise procedures” were used.
At around the same time, the fire service was also called to smoke coming from the Home Court flats in Hockwell Ring, but this turned out to be a false alarm due to cooking.
