A LUTON cricket club has secured a £50,000 windfall after being granted a share of Olympic legacy funding by Sport England.
Luton Town and Indians Cricket Club was given the funding from the Inspired Facilities Fund, part of the £135 million Places People Play legacy programme that aims to transfer some of the magic of the Olympics into communities across the UK.
The project is to upgrade the club’s toilets and to install three lane netting facilities. It will also renovate the pavilion frontage.
