FIRE-FIGHTERS attended two incidents in Downs Road in Luton last night (Monday December 19).
Bedfordshire and Luton Fire Service were first called to a flat fire on the third floor of Startpoint Flats in Downs Road at 7.46pm.
Four rescue appliances were used and there were fires in both of the bedrooms.
Six breathing apparatus and two jets were used.
At 10pm, fire services were again called to the Startpoint Flats where there were two sets of fire in a third floor flat.
Rescue units from Luton, Dunstable, Stopsley, Toddington and Hertfordshire attended.
The flat was 50 per cent damaged and flats on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors were smoke damaged.
Eight breathing apparatus sets were used.
