POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Dordans Road, Luton on February 29.
The victim was walking along Dordans Road with his mobile phone in his hand at around 4.20pm when an offender, who had earlier confronted the victim on the bridge linking Roman Road and Beechwood Road, cycled past the victim. He hit him in the face causing the phone to fall to the floor. The offender then picked up the phone and fled toward the Roman Road Bridge.
The offender is described as a black male, in his early 20s, around five foot ten inches tall, of large build, with a chubby face and a pock mark on his left cheek. The offender was wearing a black Adidas top with red stripes down the arms and was riding a mountain bike with ‘Thunder’ written on the crossbar.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack, particularly from a black, teenage girl who may have seen the robbery taking place.
