Woman injured in “nasty and completely unprovoked attack” in Luton

Police are looking for witnesses after a woman was assaulted while walking down a Luton road.

The woman was walking along Milton Road in the direction of Meryick Avenue at around 6.55pm on Thursday March 19 when she was pushed to the ground and assaulted, causing several injuries including a fractured ankle.

The offender is described as a slim black man, approximately 5’5”, and was wearing a black jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Gareth Suffling said: “This was a particularly nasty and completely unprovoked attack, and we’re keen to speak to anyone who may be able to help us identify the person responsible in order to bring him to justice and prevent him carrying out further attacks.”
