A suspected brothel, which fronted as a massage parlour, has been shut down by police in Luton.
The premises, on Guildford Street, was raided by officers from the Bedfordshire Police Community Policing Team on Wednesday January 28.
Police arrested a 54-year-old woman on suspicion of running the brothel, who has since been released on bail to appear in Luton Magistrates’ Court on 12 March at 3pm.
A closure order was issued at Luton Magistrates’ on January 29 which forces the premises to remain closed for three months.
PC Richard Constable, who instigated the raid, said: “The Community Policing Team had received complaints from members of the public and local residents who had been experiencing anti-social behaviour from the location.
“We will continue to work with the community and respond to any concerns raised.”
