One of the country’s leading engineering firms is targeting Luton as its next breeding ground for new talent.

On Friday, February 6, Selex ES will host a major recruitment fair at its site at Capability Green from 2pm to 7pm.

The company – a leader in aeronautic and defence technology – is looking to hire 40 engineers, among other roles.

Chris Bushell, head at Selex ES Luton, said: “I think people in Luton might be pleasantly surprised when they see the rich diversity of opportunities available at our site.

“Engineering is a creative, absorbing profession and I think once people have visited our facility they will be able to see just how we apply that creative thinking.”

“We’re also passionate about increasing the number of female engineers in our business. We’re very proud that one of our senior hardware engineers, Naomi Mitchison, recently became IET’s Young Woman Engineer of the Year and Engineering UK’s recent report confirms that we need to raise the number of female engineers across the UK.”

You can register for the event here.
