Residents had a narrow escape after an arson attack at Downs Court, Downs Road, Luton in the early hours of Monday, January 26.
Between 3.15-3.50am offenders got through the main entrance, and set light to newspapers which had been stored under a stairwell causing damage to the surrounding area.
Detective Constable Gail Cotton, said: “This was a serious incident which potentially could have caused a lot of damage and serious injury to people living in this small block of flats.
“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously around Downs Court at around the time I’d like to hear from you. Call me, in, confidence, on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.”
