Police appeal for witnesses to two assaults at Luton pub

Police are appealing for witnesses to two separate incidents at the Duke of Clarence pub on Upper George Street, Luton.

In the first assault, at 2am on Sunday, September 14, a 33-year-old man was hit in the head with a glass or bottle and fell to the floor, the offender, who is believed to be an Asian man, kicked and stamped on his head before leaving. The victim required five stitches to his head at Luton and Dunstable hospital.

The second assault took place at 3am on Saturday, September 27.

Detective Constable Mohammed Hussain, investigating, said: “We are looking for any witnesses who saw the victim, a seventeen year old boy and another teenage together in the smoking garden of the Duke of Clarence public house at around 3.20am. The attacker punched his victim in the face three times holding a glass in his hand, causing a deep slash wound to his face.”

The attacker in this incident is described as a white male, 5ft10” tall, slim and short brown hair. He has a deformed left finger and both little fingers are bent inwards. He has a tattoo on his right wrist od MUM with stars around it.
