Police appeal for help to find estate agent thieves

POLICE are appealing for help to catch two robbers who threatened staff at a Luton travel agents after arriving at the scene in a taxi.

The incident happened at around 10am at the First Choice Travel Agent in George Street, just after two members of staff had opened the store. Two offenders entered the premises and threatened the workers, telling them to do as they are told and nobody would get hurt. A quantity of cash, foreign currency and traveller cheques was taken and the offenders left the store via the rear fire exit.

Both of the offenders are described as being black and were dressed in dark clothing with ski gloves.

Investigating officer Det Con Will Taylor said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the staff working in the shop who did exactly what was demanded of them and thankfully no one was harmed. The offenders have escaped with a large amount of cash and traveller cheques and it is important that we locate them as soon as possible to stop them from committing any further offences.
