The 31-year-old was killed in a road traffic accident at Slip End.
The page reads: “In loving memory of Sonya Gurney. She’d had a rough time in the past and been treated badly, but she was the kindest, happiest person you could ever have the pleasure of knowing.
“She will leave a huge hole in so many of our lives. Please feel free to add photos and leave your memories.”
One friend wrote: “Absolutely tragic news, Sonya was an incredibly kind and warm- hearted person. I have incredibly fond memories of her from Ashton, she hadn’t changed a bit when I last met her in Motorbodies. My thoughts and prayers are with Sonya’s family. R.I.P Sonya.”
Sonya, who lived in Leyburne Road, Luton, was the passenger in a blue Renault Clio when it was involved in a collision with a blue Audi A4 in Newlands Road at 2.07pm.

Both women had to be cut from the car by the Luton and Bedfordshire Fire and Service, but Sonya was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another friend wrote on Facebook: “This is such a terrible sad tragedy....whenever I saw Sonya at work she was always smiling and she was such a gentle-natured soul......my heart and prayers go to Sonya’s family, friends and loved ones....I’m so sorry for your loss.”
An inquest was opened yesterday, with the date of the hearing to be arranged.
The 49-year-old female driver of the other car involved was taken to the Luton & Dunstable Hospital for treatment for suspected internal bruising.
