Three people were arrested this morning and a section 1 firearm recovered after police officers executed warrants in Jasmine Road and Ambleside.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at a property in Jasmine Road on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm which relates to an incident in Denham Close on April 21.
A 21-year-old woman and 18-year-old man were also arrested from another property in the same road on suspicion of possessing an illegal firearm, after a section one firearm and ammunition was recovered from the house.
During the operation a property in Ambleside was also searched by officers.
Detective Inspector Iain Morgan, said: “I would continue to encourage anyone who has information to contact the police and help crackdown on criminals. All information will be used and may help support more operations like today’s. If they feel they do not wish to speak directly to officers then I would remind them that they can always call the independent charity, Crimestoppers, completely anonymously.”
All three are now being questioned by detectives from Luton’s Serious Crime Team.
