As part of the ongoing work to the development of the Dallow Downs and Runley Wood Trail, six schools, Dallow Primary, Foxdell Junior, Downside Junior, Beech Hill Primary, Foxdell Infant and Whipperly Infant joined together for an art workshop.
Twelve pupils, with two representing each school, came for this exciting and creative event.
The project, run by the Faith Woodlands Communities, took the children and teachers on a guided walk with some nature activities while exploring at the same time the history and archaeology of this natural gem in Luton. Having been inspired by the nature walk, the pupils then had the privilege to be guided by local artist Abi Spendlove.
Fantastic drawings and paintings were then produced by the young people who will be further scanned and professionally printed on a welcoming sign for the Dallow Downs entrance from Runley Park.
