A murder investigation has been launched after a man died last night after being stabbed in Milliners Court, Milliners Way in Luton.
A disturbance was reported to the police at 10.43pm and on arrival at the scene a 19 year old man was found suffering from a stab wound.
The man was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where he died soon after arrival.
The victim will not be named until a post mortem has been carried out to confirm the cause of death and a formal identification has taken place.
A 19 year old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and he will be questioned by detectives today..
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector John Arthur, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Team, is keen to trace anyone who has information relating to the disturbance.
DI Arthur said: “Scenes of Crime Officers together with detectives will be in the Milliners Court area today conducting a forensic examination of the area and speaking with residents about what happened last night. Although we have arrested a person in connection with this incident I would still urge anyone who has information relating to the disturbance and subsequent death of this man to come forward and help piece together exactly what happened.”
