A young family had furniture thrown at them as they travelled in their car in Luton on Easter Sunday.
Furious grandfather Jim Price said his son, wife and their two-year-old daughter were travelling along the A505 Vauxhall Way at about 7pm when the incident happened.
Police confirmed they had received a report of a group of three or four young people, all aged 12- 15 years old, throwing furniture off the Turners Road footbridge.
Mr Price of Stopsley said: “If anyone knows the identity of the morons who were lobbing sticks of furniture off the Turners Road footbridge, in the general direction of my son’s car...I trust they will have the common decency to inform the local constabulary.”
A Beds Police spokesperson said the youths were throwing wooden furniture and there was debris on the road.
They passed the information onto the Highways Agency to make the road safe.
A Stopsley resident who does not wish to be named said: “I always see a group of lads hanging around on that bridge. Often they have a big dog with them and it can be quite intimidating. I’ve never seen them throwing anything off the bridge but they do cause a nuisance sometimes.”
