Luton Borough Council has held their annual Luton Excellence Awards in front of 300 spectators at Barnfield West Academy.
The well-attended function saw prizes awarded to staff in 14 different categories celebrating dedication, hard work and commitment.
Chief Executive Trevor Holden said: “In light of all the challenges we are currently facing as a local authority, the effort, commitment and enthusiasm of our colleagues is simply outstanding.
“The awards are a chance to say a big thank you to some of the people who continually go the extra mile so Luton residents can receive the best possible service.
“I would also like to thank all of the sponsors who generously supported the event, enabling us to celebrate our employees at no cost to the taxpayer.”
Special awards were given to about 80 employees who have been at the Council for more than 25 years.
