A 15-year-old girl was injured when a bus she was on was shot at on Tuesday (February 19) afternoon.
The incident happened at 2.30pm in Wenlock Street, when three windows of the bus were smashed by BB gun pellets.
Police were called to the scene and the injured passenger who was hit by flying glass attended the NHS walk in centre for treatment.
PC Steve Mosley said: “Luckily the young girl does not appear to have been seriously injured at this time but this could have ended up with her losing her sight and other people could also have been seriously injured.”
Three or four white teenagers aged between 15 and 17 were seen leaning out of a window in Berkley Path at the time of the incident.
PC Mosley said: “These people may have information that could help this inquiry so I would urge them or anyone who knows who they are to contact the police, immediately.”
Anyone with information relating to this incident can contact PC Mosley, in confidence, at Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
