A WOMAN and her 13-year-old son were tied up and threatened with a knife after three masked men broke into their house and took jewellery and cash.
Detectives in Luton are appealing for witnesses to come forward the incident in Telscombe Way at around 1.30pm last Wednesday.
The offenders, one black man and two white men, are believed to have been in their early 20s and wearing black clothing and masks over their faces.
The officer in charge of this investigation, Det Con Claire Long, of the South Bedfordshire Serious Crime Investigation Team, is keen to trace anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in the area at the time of the incident.
She said: “During the ordeal both victims had their hands tied together and were threatened by the offenders. This was a traumatic experience for the victims who were left shocked by what had happened.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area yesterday lunchtime and saw or heard anything unusual to come forward and help with this investigation. I would also appeal to anyone who can help identify the three men responsible to contact the police.”
Anyone with information about this crime should contact Det Con Long on 01582 473286, or Bedfordshire Police on 101, text information to 07786 200011 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
