Two sexual assaults were reported in Luton in close proximity last week and police are appealing for witnesses.
In the first incident, a 23-year-old female pulled her car over in Catsbrook Road at about 9.10pm on January 29 and a man climbed in.
He grabbed her breast then fled to a nearby park when the victim pressed the car’s horn.
The offender was described as Asian, skinny, and in his mid-to-late 20s.
The second incident involved a 15-year-old boy who was walking along Riddy Lane at 8pm-8.15pm on January 30.
He was approached by a man of Asian appearance who exposed himself before groping the youngster and then fleeing the area.
He was described as skinny, in his early 30s, and he spoke with broken English.
Det Con Nadia Hussein said: “Both victims have been left extremely upset by the ordeals they suffered and it is important that we find the offenders and stop them from committing any further crimes.
“We are keeping an open mind about whether these incidents are related but if anyone saw either assault taking place or knows who the offenders may be then I would urge them to contact Bedfordshire Police as quickly as possible.”
In relation to the first assault, Det Con Hussein would like to hear from two motorists who drove past the victim’s car towards Ickneild Way as she beeped the horn. She would also like to speak with a female who walked past the offender and the victim in the Riddy Lane assault – near to Ickneild Primary School - just before the offence took place.
