A man living with a backyard full of rubbish says he is launching legal action against Luton Borough Council for taking away his bins.
Billy Glebson, pictured, of Baker Street, used to keep his household bins outside his front door as the only access to his backyard is through the house.
As part of the council’s ‘Move it or Lose it’ campaign, bins are removed if they are not taken off the pavement after being emptied, and Mr Glebson has not had one since June.
He said: “I can’t drag my wheelie bin through the house, it’s disgusting.”
A council spokesperson said: “We do not discuss individual cases but the council does receive regular complaints from residents about bins being left out on the public footpath on non-collection days.”
There were 66 bins left out in Baker Street, and seven have been removed so far, which the spokesperson said is a “last resort”.
