A teenager arrested in Luton after running away from police had been carrying a loaded gun and a knife.
Officers involved in burglary crackdown Operation Peak were on patrol in Dunstable Road, Luton, just before 9pm on Thursday night (November 15) when they spotted the teenager, who attempted to run away.
They chased him and he threw a carrier bag into a garden and other items across the dual-carriageway.
Officers apprehended the boy and on recovery of the bag they found the firearm inside which had four live rounds loaded in it.
A lock knife was also recovered from underneath a nearby vehicle.
