PLANS for the redevelopment of Napier Park – the former Vauxhall car plant – will go on show next week.
Project managers Augur Group say the ‘mixed use’ scheme will create 2,000 jobs and secure significant private investment for Luton.
A spokesman said the site would be an “edge of town centre community with a direct link to Luton Airport Parkway Station and Luton Airport”. Planning permission for the development of the site was originally granted in 2006, and people can have their say on the detailed plans at an exhibition on Wednesday, November 14, at the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce in Kimpton Road, from 4pm to 8pm.
Simon Mann, Augur managing director, said: “It is really important to us to hear local views, and so I would encourage local residents to come along to these exhibitions and see these exciting plans for themselves.”
