A MUM and her two children escaped serious injury after a fire broke out at their Luton home on Friday morning.
Fire crews were called to a house in Copenhagen Close in Marsh Farm shortly after 7.30am.
All three residents had escaped the blaze, which was brought under control by 8.10am, and were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
The mum was taken to the Luton & Dunstable Hospital for precautionary treatment.
Fire crews do not believe that the cause of the fire, which they stopped spreading beyond the room where it started, to be suspicious.
The rest of the first floor maisonette suffered serious smoke damage.
