POLICE are appealing for information after two robberies in Luton.
The first incident happened at Avenue Stores in Strathmore Avenue between 1.30pm and 1.55pm on Tuesday, June 5, when two men threatened a member of staff with a gun before forcing him to hand over cash and cigarettes.
The 24-year-old victim was unharmed.
The second incident happened at Ladbrokes Racing in the Purley Centre, Marsh Farm, at 9.40pm when a 23-year-old member of staff was threatened and demands were made to hand over cash.
The quick-thinking victim managed to set off the store alarm and the offenders fled the scene empty-handed.
The first offender is described as black, between 20 and 25 years old, 6ft tall and wearing a light brown/beige jacket with a grey scarf with blue stripes.
The second offender is described as a black, between 19 and 25 years old, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and also had his face covered.
