A 42-YEAR-OLD man was hit over the head as he had his mobile phone and cash stolen in broad daylight in Luton.
The incident happened as the man walked along a footpath that runs between Downs Road and Ashburnham Road last Friday at around 10.50am
Two men approached him and asked for a light. As the victim reached in to his pocket one of the men hit him in the head and caused him to fall to the ground.
The offender then searched the victim’s pockets before leaving the scene with cash and a mobile telephone.
The first offender is described as a man of mixed race appearance, between 19 and 22 years old, with a slim build and short black curly hair..
The second offender is described as a black man, in his mid-20s, with a stocky build and a shaved head.
