A TRAINING firm and a housing company have linked up to give learners the chance to gain experience on a building site in Luton.
Ridgemond Training’s foundation learning students are pictured at the Aldwyck Housing Group project that will see 51 affordable homes built in Kestrel Way.
Students will be able to use skills they are learning in college.
Christina Murphy from Ridgemond Training said: “It is vital for their qualifications that our students are able to access placements like this. We are hoping that during the lifetime of the development over 21 students will have had the chance to develop their skills working at Kestrel Way.
Aldwyck director Richard Broomfield said: “We are proud to be working with Ridgemond Training to provide these work placements during a period where there are so few prospects for employment for young people living in the area.”
