BHANGRA superstar Malkit Singh is coming to Luton this month for a special concert to raise money for the L&D’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Known as ‘The King of Bhangra’, Malkit is the biggest-selling bhangra star of all time, has made 35 albums with his band Golden Star and was awarded the MBE in 2008.
The concert at Venue Central takes place on May 18 and will also include a three-course dinner.
It will be the first time he has performed in Luton.
Jagtar Singh, a non-executive director at the L&D was instrumental in persuading the star to perform in Luton.
He said: “We are honoured that Malkit Singh’s first concert performance in Luton is to help raise funds for the Luton& Dunstable Hospital’s neonatal unit.
“He is a world class superstar.”
