LILLEY’S ever popular annual flower festival will be a celebration of 2012’s twin highlights - the Queen’s diamond jubilee and the Olympics. It takes place over the May bank holiday weekend.
St Peter’s Church promises to be a kaleidoscope of colour as talented villagers portray their particular take on the theme in a series of inspirational arrangements.
Local children are being invited to make a floral crown or something more sporty.
There will be lots of stalls in the Cassel Hall as well as home made ploughman’s lunches and cream teas served all day.
The festival will be open from 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday and Monday and from 11am on Sunday.
