HUNDREDS of dedicated fundraisers took on the daunting Warrior Adrenaline Race at Dunstable Downs to raise money for Help for Heroes on Saturday.

The event, organised by Regiment Fitness, saw competitors tackle obstacles such as tough cargo nets, high monkey bars and unforgiving steep hills.

A total of 446 warriors completed the 10kms and 5kms courses, including News/Gazette reporters Connie Primmer and Richard Redman who raised £200 for the charity.

Runners at the charity race – the first of its kind in Bedfordshire – raised a total of about £10,000 for wounded servicemen and women.

The race made for a fantastic event, with a live all-day DJ, free refreshments, and medals for all who finished the race.

Runners of all ages, shapes and sizes – many in fancy dress – made it a day to remember.

Regiment Fitness is an army fitness group based all over Beds, Herts and Bucks that provide fun training sessions designed by the army for all levels of fitness.
