A MAN was threatened with a 2ft iron bar on his walk home from work on Friday (Feb 24).
The 41-year-old was approached by two men at the junction of Russell Street and Salisbury Road in Luton between 5.45pm and 5.55pm.
They threatened him with the iron bar before the victim handed them his mobile phone, then they left the scene towards Salisbury Road.
The first offender was Asian with a light complexion, between 16-21 years old, clean shaven, with short black hair and a stocky build.
The second man was also Asian with a dark complexion, between 16-21, with short black hair, approximately 5ft3.
Det Con Surfraz Hussain said: “The victim was so intimidated he handed over his telephone but during the incident the victim did try to get the attention of a woman who was driving close by in a silver Peugeot 205cc coupe convertible. I would urge this woman or anyone else who was in the area to contact the police and assist with this investigation.”
