Police are appealing for witnesses after an ‘appalling and unprovoked’ attack in Luton on Saturday (21 March).
The incident happened at approximately 8.20pm in Chester Avenue.
The man was approached by four men who kicked and punched him and struck him with a bottle, causing facial injuries.
DC Mohammed Hussain said: “This was an appalling and unprovoked attack which could have been a lot worse if a nearby resident hadn’t alerted police.
“The four men are all believed to be Polish and were with two women, also believed to be Polish, who watched the assault take place, so we’re particularly appealing to the Polish community to come forward and assist us in finding those responsible.”
The men are all described as late teens or early 20s and were wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Hussain on 101, text 07786 200 011, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
