Staff at Lloyds Bank are getting ready to take part in a rowathon for charity on Friday, March 27.
Eight members from the Luton branch in George Street will be taking part in the eight hour event from 9am till 5pm.
They will be spending an hour at a time rowing to raise as much money as possible.
There will also be a cookie sale on the Friday and Saturday. All money raised will got to the bank’s charity of the year, Children In Need.
Event organiser Dionne Harrison said: “Children In Need is a really worthwhile charity that helps so many children.
“A lot of the staff here have children so it is a charity close to our hearts.
“We want the public to pop in and see the staff taking part in the rowathon. For some of them it will be an easy task but for others it will be very difficult.
“It will be a lot of fun and anything that can be donated by our customers will be appreciated.”
The branch hopes to raise £400 over the two days. It is also organising a fun day for customers in April to raise money for the charity.
The Rowing Machine is being lent to the bank by HomeGymuk.com for the day at no expense.
