An elderly man was forced to drive to cashpoints in Luton by a yob who broke into his home and sought to raid his account.
The victim, in his eighties, was at home in Lawn Gardens on the morning of Saturday March 14 when his nightmare ordeal began.
At around 6.40am, a brick was smashed through his window by the yob who then climbed through the broken window into the pensioner’s home and threatened him.
The OAP was then forced into his own car to drive to nearby cashpoints at Luton Parkway Station at 6.45am and Santander in George Street at around 7.05am.
Despite the yob’s effort to steal money from the victim’s account, they were unable to withdraw any cash.
Detective Constable Alan Boxall said: “This was a nasty ordeal where an elderly man was forced to drive to cashpoints in a bid to get him to withdraw money for the offender.
“We’re keen to speak to the man pictured on CCTV as we believe he might have important information to assist our investigation.”
