A 37-year-old man was arrested yesterday after a woman was threatened with a syringe during a robbery in Luton.
The incident happened at around 7.40pm on Friday at the Co-op on Birdsfoot Lane when a man stole two bottles of brandy after threatening a shop assistant.
The man is believed to have waited in the shop for other customers to leave then asked for the bottles of spirit which were behind the counter.
When the shop assistant asked for payment he pulled a syringe from his pocket and threatened her with it.
