A 15-year-old boy has been charged with GBH without intent more than two months after an OAP was viciously attacked in Wardown Park.
The victim, a 78-year-old man, was attacked while walking his dog through the Luton park on December 6.
He suffered serious head injuries, including a fractured jaw, and was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
A week after the incident police arrested four boys, two aged 14 and two aged 15.
A 15-year-old boy has now been charged with GBH without intent and has been bailed to appear at Luton Youth Court on 10 March.
The OAP is said to be “recovering slowly” after being released from hospital.
Detective sergeant Tom Hamm said: “We are still seeking anyone who saw this incident.
“If you were in Wardown Park between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 6 December and saw what happened, please contact us.”
