Ardley Hill Academy pupils learnt the ins and outs of The Mall on Wednesday, February 11, as part of the National Children’s Commissioner Takeover Day.
Year 5 pupils from the Dunstable School took a tour around the shopping centre and learnt the day to day duties of the marketing, security, maintenance and admin teams.
Headteacher Susie Bennett, said: “It has been a really good experience for the children, they learnt how The Mall is run and the importance of each role, they have had a great time and learnt a lot about working.”
The pupils designed a poster of what they think the shopping centre will look like in 100 years time, the work is now on display.
Kate Staniforth, The Mall marketing manager, said: “It has been a great day. the children have enjoyed seeing how The Mall is run and were interested in the talks.”
