Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a serious assault at Toddington Service Station on Thursday, January 8.
The incident involved two lorry drivers and took place between 9am and 9.30am. It followed an incident on the M1 northbound between Junctions 11 and 12.
The victim, who was driving a red DAF tractor trailer unit, pulled into the service station to check his load, which he believed had shifted.
He was confronted by the attacker and pushed to the ground, suffering a broken wrist and other serious injuries. The offender drove off in a smaller lorry bearing the markings of a delivery company, heading northbound. He was black, in his 20s and wearing a baseball cap. Call 101 if you have any information.
