Friends of Leigha Edwards, who passed away in December 2013, are holding a fundraiser at Lewsey Football Club on Saturday, January 10, in her memory.
The event is to celebrate her life and raise money for Luton and Dunstable hospital NICU.
Linda Sarrington, one of the organisers, said: “We wanted to hold an event where her friends and family could celebrate her life, she would have been 19 this month.
“Leigha wanted to be a neonatal nurse so we decided to raise money in her memory for the NICU. Last year we raised nearly £2000, we are hoping for the same this year, it is for a great cause.
“It starts at 12pm and there will be something to do for everyone, from face painting and henna, to a motivational speaker and a medium who will be doing tarot cards and readings.”
A signed Luton Town football shirt, a football signed by Chelsea and a signed Manchester United shirt are being auctioned and there will be a raffle on the night with prizes donated from local businesses.
DJs will be performing from 7pm. Tickets are £2 and under 13’s are free,
