DisabledGo and the council are working together to bring an access guide to Luton, covering 500 venues.
The guide will give detailed information about the accessibility of public venues, including parking and toilet facilities.
The venues have been assessed by a DisabledGo surveyor or a member of the council’s New Horizons team.
Councillor Mahmood Hussain said: “We are proud to be working with DisabledGo on this important access guide for Luton’s residents and visitors.
“The guide will provide detailed access information so that people can judge for themselves whether a shop, restaurant or theatre is accessible for their own requirements, for example, whether a shop is wheelchair accessible or a cinema offers a hearing loop.
“I would like to thank both DisabledGo and New Horizons for their hard work on this project.”
The guide will be available at www.disabledgo.com, it will also be available on the Luton council website, www.luton.gov.uk and a shorter guide will be produced in a booklet form for those without access to the internet.
