Young professional boxers will visit boxercise classes at Farley Hill community centre in January, as part of Pro Boxer Month.
Jordan Reynolds and Michael Devine of Farley Hill, will be taking part in a question and answer session, demonstrating pad work and talking about self discipline and respect for others.
The sessions are run by Directional CIC, a community interest company that provides various classes for local people.
The free classes are for 11 to 19-year-olds and run every Wednesday from 5pm till 6pm.
The sessions are funded the council’s Your Say Your Way programme.
Participatory Budgeting is a part of the programme, it is a fund that local community and voluntary groups can bid for resources to improve the local area.
Jermaine Hall, owner of Directional CIC, said: “The pro boxer month is to inspire the young people of Luton to follow their dreams and promote life essential morals and disciplines.
“The community identified areas which could be improved and our boxercise class covered two priorities which were affordable, healthy living classes for young people and a diversion of anti social behaviour.”
