Over 70 women and girls took part in a free workout party to celebrate the first year anniversary of Me Time.
The Active Luton project encourages women and girls to increase their sport and physical activity levels for fun, social, recreational or competitive purposes.
Lea Manor Recreation Centre allowed the ladies to use the pool and gym and a range of activities were available to take participate in.
One woman commented: “Before today I had never been to the gym in my life. It was so good to be guided by the friendly female Me Time staff – they were all so patient and it was so much fun.”
Helen Barnett, Chief Executive of Active Luton, said: “We organised this event to celebrate a very successful first year and to give other local women the opportunity to take advantage of free exercise sessions while finding out more about the programme.
The energy on the day was absolutely fantastic with so many people taking part.”
