Christmas has come early for East Anglian Air Ambulance as the Cantata Ladies Choir and Challney Band presented a cheque for £300 to the lifesaving charity.
The two acts performed an evening of festive entertainment at the Challney Community Centre in Luton to an audience of around 60 people.
Guests enjoyed a medley of popular songs from the Cantata Ladies Choir followed by the Challney Band who ended on a high note with festive Christmas music which had everyone singing along.
Bedfordshire Fundraising Manager, Kay Marter, gave a short talk about the important role of the air ambulance in helping people in their hour of need.
Almost £300 was raised through ticket sales and a raffle which featured prizes of chocolate and wine. The donation will pay for important life preserving equipment used by the crew to maintain a pulse during the journey to hospital. Kay Marter said: “We had a fantastic evening at the Challney Community Centre in Luton and it was brilliant to watch both acts.’ ‘The night was a huge success and we would like to say thank you for their fantastic donation to the charity, we really do appreciate it.”
