Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire are recruiting for an employment course that will boost your job prospects and improve a local park.
Starting in November, Green Skills will give Luton residents the chance to gain experience and qualifications at the same time as working together to create a path through Rotten Corner in Leagrave Park, Marsh Farm.
As well as the practical work, participants will get training to prepare them for taking the CSCS test and City & Guilds Health and Safety in a Construction Environment test, meaning they can get a full CSCS card – crucial for work in a construction environment.
10 people have already signed up to take part. If you’d like to join them, contact Christian Iszchak (01582 720147 or Christian.Iszchak@groundwork.org.uk) and come to the selection day on Thursday 6 November at the Jobcentre in Luton, where you can find out more and meet the project leaders. The course will run on Wednesdays and Thursdays for 6 weeks from 12 November to 18 December.
