A third year psychology student from the University of Bedfordshire has been recognised as a Student In A Million by The Student Room.
The annual award was introduced by The Student Room, the largest student community in the world with over 1.5 million members.
People from across the country can nominate students whose achievements deserve to be recognised and celebrated.
Kavisigah Yogaratnam, of Luton, won the award in the Overcoming Adversity category.
She said: “This definitely wouldn’t have happened without the support of the University and my tutors, especially Dr Maja.
“I hope that other students will be motivated by my award and face through their struggles to complete their studies,”
Jason Geall, CEO, The Student Room said: “Our Student in a Million awards are a real highlight of the year for everyone at The Student Room.
“These awards give us the opportunity to put the spotlight on students who are doing amazing things and to celebrate them.
“We’re hugely proud of all the students.”
