A mother of two is ‘living in hell’ as work on her home enters its third month.
Laura Waters, of Friesian close, Lewsey Farm, has been left with scaffolding outside her house since June, 24.
The work is part of a new scheme, where insulation works are carried out on council homes across Lewsey Farm and Marsh Farm.
Ms Waters said: “I am so angry that the work is not yet completed, this scaffolding has been up for months now and they told me it would only take six weeks.
“I cannot have my grandchildren round because it is not safe, they have not placed up any safety boards,
“It is just like living in hell, I wake up and have a sore throat because of the dust, I cannot do my garden, it is such a mess.
“It is also the lying that makes me angry, they keep changing the finishing date.”
A spokesperson for the council said: “The majority of feedback we have received from residents is that they are pleased with the improvement works being carried out in Lewsey Farm.
“The nature and extent of the works means the scaffolding will be up for several weeks and residents were advised of this.
“Please note that we would like to know more details so we can investigate ourselves.
“The contractors appoint site managers and customer liaison officers which the tenants have direct contact with.”
